How this estimate works

The yearly total is household use, plus EV charging, plus supply. Household use defaults to 12 kWh a day, spread evenly over the 48 weekday half-hours, times 365. EV charging defaults to 1,600 kWh a year at the cheapest weekday price from 9:00pm to 7:00am. On a flat-rate plan that price is the flat rate, and the flat rate is included in the ranking. Supply is the daily charge times 365. The box for EV-owner plans starts unticked, which hides plans that only an EV owner can buy. Household use is limited to 0–80 kWh a day and EV charging to 0–30,000 kWh a year. The network list is the networks with an EV cost page in this snapshot. An unrecognised network uses the first of those. A time-of-use plan is included when its weekday half-hour prices are complete. Weekend prices, later seasons, solar credits, discounts and controlled load are not included. Prices include GST.
