How to read the tiles
☀️ The big number at the bottom left is what the plan pays you for each kWh of solar you export around midday, when most panels send power to the grid.
⚡ Top right is the power price you pay (the peak rate on time-of-use plans). Bottom right is the estimated yearly bill for the household you picked.
⭐ The score out of 10 ranks plans by that yearly bill: the daily charge, plus power you buy from the grid, minus your solar credit. 10 is the cheapest plan on your network.

Why the highest feed-in tariff isn't always the best deal
Retailers often pair a high feed-in tariff with a higher power price or daily charge. If you use more power from the grid than you export, a cheaper power price usually saves more than a few extra cents of feed-in. Sort by “Best for my home” to see the trade-off.
Feed-in tariffs in Queensland
In south-east Queensland (Energex) retailers set their own feed-in tariffs. In regional Queensland (Ergon) most homes get a regulated rate and have fewer retailers to choose from.
Which network am I on?
Your network (also called your distributor) owns the poles and wires to your home. You can't choose it, and it's printed on your electricity bill. Each network charges retailers different fees, so the same plan can cost more or less depending on where you live.

A higher feed-in tariff doesn't always mean a cheaper bill, so compare the power price too.
What is the average feed-in tariff in Queensland?

What counts as a catch?
Anything that limits who can sign up. For example, you must buy your solar system from the retailer, own a battery or EV, join a virtual power plant, be a new customer, or sign up through a partner site.
Are the old 44c and 60c rates included?
No. Those were government schemes that closed to new customers years ago.
Why aren't Amber or other wholesale plans here?
Wholesale plans pass through a market price that changes every five minutes, so there's no single rate to compare.
How do I sign up to a plan?
Open the plan on Energy Made Easy, the government comparison site, to check the full details and find the retailer's sign-up link. Victorian plans aren't on Energy Made Easy, so copy the plan ID and search for it on the retailer's website or Victorian Energy Compare.
